Definitions

These definitions apply throughout these Terms and are intended to make the booking, delivery, revision, and completion process clear.
  • Booking confirmed — the booking is confirmed once full payment has been received and all required files have been successfully submitted through the booking form.
  • Required files — all audio files, references, project notes, song information, and other materials reasonably required to perform the booked service.
  • Usable format — files that meet our submission requirements and can be used without replacement, repair, re-export, or material clarification before production can begin.
  • Business days — Monday through Friday, excluding Swedish public holidays.
  • Calendar days — all days, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Production start / work has begun — work is considered to have begun once full payment has been confirmed and all required files have been successfully submitted through the booking form. From this point, no refunds are available.
  • Delivery — any audio version, preview, revision, final file, or download link sent to the client’s registered email address or otherwise provided through an agreed delivery method.
  • Final delivery — the delivery intended to be the final approved files for the booked service.
  • Revision request — one clear, consolidated set of feedback submitted within the review window for the relevant delivery.
  • Revision round — the engineering work performed in response to one valid revision request.
  • Review window — the period of 14 calendar days after a delivery during which the client may approve the delivery or submit a valid revision request.
  • Project completed — the service is considered fully performed, and the project completed, when: (a) the client approves the delivery; (b) the client downloads or uses the final files; (c) no valid revision request is received within the 14-day review window after final delivery; or (d) all included revision rounds have been completed and delivered. Final delivery does not require separate written approval from the client.

Adding services after booking may extend the project timeline.

STEM Mastering — stem requirements STEM Mastering accepts up to 8 grouped stems per track (for example: Drums, Bass, Lead Vocal, Backing Vocals, Instruments, Synths, FX, Other). Stems must be properly grouped and represent a completed or near-completed mix. Artificially bouncing a raw, unmixed session into grouped stems does not qualify as STEM Mastering. If submitted stems indicate that full mixing work is required, we reserve the right to recommend upgrading to Mixing or Mixing & Mastering.
Right to decline bookings We reserve the right to decline any booking request at our discretion, including projects outside our area of expertise, projects containing illegal or extremist content, or any other reason we determine appropriate. If a booking is declined after payment has been made, a full refund will be issued minus any non-refundable transaction fees.

02

Booking & Payment

Full payment is required upfront before any work begins.

To book a project, complete the booking form on our website and submit full payment via Stripe or PayPal. Work will not begin until payment has been received and confirmed.

  • Full payment upfront — 100% of the service fee, including any selected add-ons, is due at the time of booking. No deposit-based arrangements are offered.
  • Add-ons — all add-ons should be selected during the original booking. If you need to add a service after payment has been completed, contact us at info@jaedee.com. Additional add-ons may be accommodated at our discretion and will be invoiced separately before work on that addition begins. This is not guaranteed and depends on the stage of the project.
  • Multi-track projects — for EPs, albums, and other multi-track bookings, the full project payment is binding once work has begun. No partial refunds are issued for tracks not submitted within an active multi-track booking. If you are unsure about committing to a full project, we recommend booking a single track first to experience the workflow before expanding your order.
  • Currency — all transactions are processed in USD.
  • Payment processors — we accept Stripe and PayPal. By paying, you agree to their respective terms of service.
  • Transaction fees — payment processor fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including in the event of a refund.
  • VAT & taxes — prices may be subject to applicable local taxes. Any taxes already incurred are non-refundable.
No work begins without payment Submitting files without completed payment does not constitute a booking. Your project slot is only confirmed once full payment has been received.
Order confirmation After booking, you will receive an order confirmation summarizing the selected service, price, number of tracks, included revisions, estimated turnaround, and other relevant order details. The Terms in effect at the time of booking apply to that booking, unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing.

03

Free Sample

A free 30-second watermarked preview is available before committing to a paid project. No payment is required.

We offer a free sample service so potential clients can hear the sonic direction before booking a full paid project. The following conditions apply:

  • What you receive — a 30-second watermarked audio preview, delivered by email. This is a directional sample only and does not represent a fully finished mix or master.
  • File requirements — for a mastering sample, submit one stereo WAV or AIFF file. For a mixing or mixing & mastering sample, submit up to 5 key stems as 24-bit WAV files.
  • One per artist or project — free samples are limited to one per artist or project. Requesting multiple samples for the same project under different names or email addresses is not permitted.
  • No guaranteed turnaround — free samples are processed between paid client sessions. No specific turnaround time is guaranteed.
  • No commitment — receiving a free sample does not obligate either party to proceed with a paid booking.
Right to decline free sample requests Free sample requests are reviewed before processing. We reserve the right to decline any request at our discretion, including but not limited to projects outside our area of expertise, incomplete or incorrectly formatted submissions, or where a sample has already been provided to the same artist or project.

04

File Submission Requirements

You are responsible for submitting properly prepared files before work begins.

All files must be prepared and submitted according to our guidelines before the project starts. Please refer to the file preparation guide on our website.

  • Format — export all audio files as 24-bit WAV or AIFF at your session’s original sample rate (44.1 kHz or higher). MP3 is accepted if that is all you have, but WAV or AIFF is strongly recommended for the best result.
  • Headroom — leave 3–6 dB of headroom on the mix bus. Remove any limiters or mix-bus compression that is not part of the creative intent. Keep creative effects such as reverb, delay, and sound design in place.
  • File naming — name all files clearly using the stem name first, followed by the song title, for example: LeadVocal_SongTitle.wav, Kick_SongTitle.wav. Avoid generic names such as Audio_01.wav.
  • Session alignment — all stems must start from the same point in the session.
  • STEM Mastering — stems must be properly grouped and represent a completed or near-completed mix. See Section 1 for full requirements.
  • Responsibility — you are solely responsible for submitting correctly prepared files. Incorrect, incomplete, corrupted, or improperly formatted files may affect delivery times and the quality of results. Turnaround time does not begin, or may be paused, until all required files are complete, usable, and correctly submitted. If files need to be replaced after the project has started, the timeline may shift accordingly.
Mix quality affects mastering results Mastering cannot fix fundamental mix problems such as clipping, phase issues, or severely unbalanced elements. If we identify significant issues before starting, we will flag them. Submitting a new or significantly altered mix after work has begun may be treated as a new project and charged accordingly.

05

Turnaround Times

Delivery times are estimates in business days and begin once payment and correctly prepared files are both received.

Turnaround times are calculated in business days (Monday–Friday, excluding Swedish public holidays) and begin once full payment has been confirmed and all required files have been received in the correct format.

  • Mixing — 5–7 business days
  • Mastering — 1–3 business days
  • Mixing & Mastering — 7–10 business days
  • STEM Mastering — 5–7 business days
Rush Delivery Rush Delivery is available as an add-on for all services and can be selected directly in the booking form. Rush Delivery provides approximately 2x faster turnaround. Rush times are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates. If we are unable to deliver within the Rush timeframe, the Rush add-on fee will be refunded. The base service fee is not refundable in this circumstance.
Multi-track projects For EPs, albums, and other multi-track projects, total delivery time is calculated per track and displayed in the order summary before checkout. Tracks within a multi-track project are typically delivered progressively, not all at once.
Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees While we always aim to deliver within the stated timeframe, times may occasionally be affected by workload, project complexity, or incomplete file submissions. If a delay occurs, we will notify you promptly. Delays do not entitle the client to a refund.
File readiness and turnaround start Turnaround time begins only once full payment has been confirmed and all required files have been received in a complete, usable format. If submitted files are incomplete, incorrectly prepared, corrupted, or require replacement, the turnaround time may be paused or adjusted until the issue is resolved.

06

Revisions

Each service includes a set number of revision rounds per track. Additional revisions are available at an extra fee.

Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds as stated below. Revision rounds are counted per track, not per project. A revision round consists of one set of consolidated feedback submitted at the same time — not individual, ongoing changes across multiple messages.

  • Mixing — 2 revision rounds per track
  • Mastering — 2 revision rounds per track
  • Mixing & Mastering — 3 revision rounds per track
  • STEM Mastering — 2 revision rounds per track
How to submit revision feedback Please consolidate all feedback for a track into a single, clear message per revision round. Include timestamps where relevant to help identify specific moments in the track. Additional feedback sent after a revision round has already been submitted may be treated as a new revision round. Vague feedback such as “make it louder” or “make it sound better” may require clarification before a revision can begin, and turnaround time for the revision may not start until clear, actionable feedback has been received.
  • Revision response window — once a delivery is sent, you have 14 calendar days to approve the delivery or submit one consolidated revision request. If no valid revision request is received within 14 calendar days, the delivery is considered approved and the project may be marked as completed.
  • Revision scope — revisions cover reasonable adjustments to levels, EQ, dynamics, balance, and processing based on your feedback. They do not cover structural arrangement changes, new recordings, new stems, stem replacements, new mix submissions, or a completely new creative direction after work has started.
  • Additional revisions — extra revision rounds beyond those included are available at the following rates, payable before the revision begins: $25 per round for Mastering, $35 per round for STEM Mastering, $45 per round for Mixing, $55 per round for Mixing & Mastering.
  • New mix submissions — submitting a new or significantly altered mix after work has begun may be treated as a new project and charged accordingly.
  • Unused revisions — once you approve the final delivery, no further free revisions are available, even if unused rounds remain.

07

Delivery & Final Files

Final files are delivered digitally via a secure download link. We do not deliver DAW project files.

Upon completion, your final files will be delivered via a secure download link sent to your registered email address.

  • File format — final deliverables are provided as 24-bit WAV at the original sample rate, plus a 320kbps MP3.
  • Mixing includes — final stereo mix (WAV & MP3), Instrumental mix, and TV Track (Singback).
  • Mastering includes — mastered stereo WAV & MP3.
  • Mixing & Mastering includes — mastered stereo WAV & MP3, Instrumental mix, and TV Track (Singback).
  • STEM Mastering includes — mastered stereo WAV & MP3.
  • Not included — DAW project files, session files, plugin presets, processing chains, templates, internal notes, or individual stems, unless explicitly selected as an add-on, separately agreed in writing, and paid for before that additional work begins.
  • Download link expiry — download links expire after 30 days. It is your responsibility to download and save your files before the link expires.
  • Project approval — a project is considered approved and completed when you confirm approval, download or use the final files, submit no valid revision request within 14 calendar days after delivery, or the included revision rounds have been completed. Final delivery does not require separate written approval from the client.
  • Client review before release — you are responsible for reviewing and approving all final files before distribution, upload, manufacturing, broadcast, public release, or other commercial use.
Proprietary methods Our mixing, mastering, processing chains, plugin settings, presets, templates, internal notes, and production methods are proprietary and are not included in any delivery unless expressly agreed in writing.

08

Alternate Mixes

Additional mix versions for broadcasting and live performance can be added to your order.

Alternate Mixes are additional versions of your track prepared for different use cases. The following versions are available:

  • Instrumental — a full mix with all vocals removed
  • TV Track (Singback) — a full mix with only the lead vocal removed; backing vocals remain
ServiceAlternate Mix PriceNotes
MixingIncludedInstrumental & TV Track included as standard
Mastering$20 per versionClient must submit separate pre-mastered files per version
Mixing & MasteringIncludedInstrumental & TV Track included as standard
STEM Mastering$15 per versionCreated directly from your submitted stems
File requirements for Mastering add-on If you add Alternate Mixes to a Mastering-only order, you must submit a separate pre-mastered file for each version. All files must be exported at the same specifications as your main mix: 24-bit WAV, same sample rate, same headroom. We master these versions — we do not create them from your stems.

09

Refund Policy & Cancellation

Due to the nature of our services, refunds are not available once work has begun. A free sample is available before booking so you can evaluate the result before committing.
No refunds after work has begun Once work on your project has started, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. We encourage all clients to request a free sample before booking to evaluate the sonic direction before committing to a paid project.
No refunds after final delivery Once final high-resolution files (24-bit WAV) have been delivered and the project is marked as completed, no refunds will be issued. Downloading the final files constitutes acceptance of the delivered work.
Cancellation before work begins If you wish to cancel before any work has commenced, contact us immediately at info@jaedee.com. Cancellations made before work begins may be eligible for a refund minus a 5% administrative fee covering non-refundable transaction fees charged by Stripe and/or PayPal and any local taxes already incurred that cannot be recovered. Once work has begun, no cancellation refunds are available.
Booking declined by Jaedee If we decline a booking after payment has been made, a full refund will be issued minus any non-refundable transaction fees. See Section 1 for our right to decline bookings.
Multi-track projects Multi-track bookings are scheduled as a single production commitment. By booking multiple tracks together, the client receives priority scheduling and package pricing in exchange for committing to the full project. Once payment has been confirmed and the first file submission has been received, the full multi-track booking is considered confirmed and active. Cancellation refunds are not available once the project has entered production. No partial refunds are issued for tracks the client chooses not to proceed with after the booking has been confirmed, except where required by mandatory consumer protection law or where we are unable to provide the agreed service.

We do not offer refunds based on subjective dissatisfaction after the included revision rounds have been exhausted, or where the client has changed creative direction mid-project.

This does not affect any statutory rights the client may have if the service is faulty, materially different from what was agreed, or not delivered as described.

10

Project Abandonment

Projects where files are not submitted within 30 days of payment may be closed without refund. Delivered projects must be reviewed within the stated review window.

To keep our workflow running smoothly, the following conditions apply to project inactivity:

  • File submission window — after payment is confirmed, files must be submitted within 30 days. If no files are received within 30 days, the project slot will be released and the booking closed without refund.
  • Client non-response — if a project is delivered and the client does not respond within 14 calendar days, the delivery is considered approved and the project may be closed. See Section 6 for revision response windows.
  • Abandoned projects — projects closed due to non-submission or non-response are not eligible for refunds. If you need additional time, contact us at info@jaedee.com before the relevant window expires.

11

Confidentiality

All submitted material is treated as confidential. We will not share, distribute, or leak your unreleased music.

We understand that clients often submit unreleased material. We take confidentiality seriously and handle all submitted files with professional discretion.

  • Non-disclosure — we will not share, distribute, sell, stream, upload, or otherwise disclose any submitted audio files or project details to any third party without your explicit written consent.
  • Reasonable measures — we take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your files. However, we cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality in the event of circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as data breaches, outages, or security incidents involving third-party storage, transfer, email, payment, or project management services.
  • Portfolio use — we reserve the right to use short excerpts of completed, publicly released work (for example, before/after comparisons) for promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing before the project begins. We will not use unreleased material for promotional purposes without explicit written permission.
  • Third-party services — files may be transferred, stored, processed, or delivered using reputable third-party cloud storage, email, file transfer, payment, analytics, or project management services where reasonably necessary to provide the service.
  • Internal access — submitted files may be accessed only by Jaedee for the purpose of completing your project.
  • Proprietary methods — our mixing and mastering techniques, processing chains, plugin settings, signal chains, presets, templates, session structures, internal notes, and production methods are proprietary and confidential. These belong exclusively to Jaedee and are not disclosed, transferred, or accessible to the client as part of any delivery or booking.

  • Mixing — “Mixed by Jaedee” in release metadata, liner notes, and/or streaming platform credits
  • Mastering — “Mastered by Jaedee” in release metadata, liner notes, and/or streaming platform credits
  • Mixing & Mastering — “Mixed & Mastered by Jaedee” in release metadata, liner notes, and/or streaming platform credits

13

Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your music. We retain no rights, royalties, or ownership over your work.

All intellectual property rights in the original music, compositions, lyrics, and recordings submitted to us remain exclusively with you, the client, or the relevant rights holders.

  • Client ownership — by submitting your files, you confirm that you own or have the legal right to use all audio content submitted, and that it does not infringe any third-party rights including copyright, trademark, or any other intellectual property rights. This includes beats, instrumentals, samples, loops, vocals, features, toplines, sound recordings, lyrics, compositions, and any other third-party material.
  • Client responsibility — you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit, edit, release, distribute, and monetize all submitted material. If any submitted material is found to infringe third-party rights, you are solely liable for any resulting claims, costs, damages, takedowns, disputes, or distribution issues. Jaedee accepts no liability in this regard.
  • Our work — the mixing, mastering, and audio engineering performed by Jaedee is delivered as a work-for-hire service. We claim no ownership, royalty entitlement, or rights over the finished recordings.
  • No royalty splits — unless explicitly agreed upon in a separate written agreement, we do not claim any share of royalties, streaming income, sync fees, or any other revenue generated by the released music.

14

File Storage & Backup

We are not a long-term storage service. Always keep your own backups.

We aim to retain project files for up to 6 months after the final delivery date. After this period, files may be permanently deleted without notice.

We may delete rejected, replaced, duplicate, incomplete, corrupted, or unnecessary working files earlier as part of normal project management.

You are responsible for your own backups Once your final files have been delivered and downloaded, you are solely responsible for their long-term storage and safekeeping. We strongly recommend downloading and backing up all files immediately upon delivery. We accept no liability for loss of files after the 6-month storage window has expired.

We are not obligated to re-deliver files after a project has been marked as completed and files have been downloaded.
